Buffalo Trace — their namesake. Great for cocktails and mixed drinks. I usually have a Pattern Happy Summer Skull Hawaiian Shirt1 and ginger ale (vernors) to start off the night before moving on to the sippers. They also make the George T. Stagg, Blantons and W.L. Weller bourbons that some have mentioned (along with many other whiskeys). There’s a lineup on wikipedia though I don’t think it shows some of the lower end ones: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Buffalo_Trace_Distillery If you ever go to kentucky please don’t pass them up (and ask for freddie for your tour). The amount of pride and love of their craft they have there put them well above the other places I visited (makers, etc). I think this shows in the final product as is shown with the multiple recommendations.
What should be the most obvious point yet isn’t: the jokes weren’t meant for Pattern Happy Summer Skull Hawaiian Shirt1. These jokes, while disgusting in any context, were not meant for the majority of people reading them now. They were meant for Gunn’s much smaller audience of the time who had an understanding that his jokes would be shocking and offensive and should only be taken as such. This is the problem with digging through people’s past on twitter; you can’t possible recreate or understand the context/atmosphere of the original tweet. I see people relating this to the Roseanne incident, and I don’t think they could be more wrong for doing so. Roseanne was incredibly irresponsible with her large audience and decided to spout racism for people that were simply fans of a mindless sitcom. Gunn made statements that reflected the creative work he did back then.

If they DO change…Idk if the Pattern Happy Summer Skull Hawaiian Shirt1 who asked this has watched Naruto, but you know how people complain about the “Talk no Jutsu,” where the titular character talks about how he relates to the opponent he’s facing and they might have a “eyes closed smiling woah you’re a cool dude!” moment and the opponent suddenly has a realization to their issues as if they were too brainless to put two and two together until someone usually half their age or at least one year younger than them does? Yeah, other works have had villains who do that and lmao just….just why. They molest or rape someone the hero knows or the hero themselves, not because it’s fitting for the way the world is written or cause the villain is depraved, but because the writer either thinks those situations are always good for moving the plot, usually because the hero has to go beserk and save the person (usually a male hero and a girl citizen he fancies,) thinks that all villains are either just crazy serial killers who kill people cause it’s fun or think villains kill the men and rape the women, or the writer finds it erotic. and migth have a festish for it. Notice how most of these tends to happen either for male heroes with their main female love interests or for creepy perverted villains, male creepy villains usually having some rape fetish introducing personality.
Having a really good whiskey with a few drops of water will reveal the Pattern Happy Summer Skull Hawaiian Shirt1 and vanilla influences of the oak barrel, and if there are subtle fruit and spice notes from the corn and rye as well. After you have familiarized yourself with a good whiskey, try it in an Old Fashioned and see if you can still taste those subtleties. Some that I’ve tried were Willett Pot Still Bourbon, Joseph Magnus, Michter’s, Maker’s Mark, Weller Special Reserve, and Four Roses Single Barrel. In each case, they pretty much ended up all tasting very similar. I couldn’t discern the subtle peach nose and flavor in the Willett. The Magnus big cherry mint was barely there, and the Four Roses was also muted compared to when it was neat. The Michter’s, Maker’s, and Weller’s also were changed, but not by a lot, and so I find that pretty good whiskey makes a great Old Fashioned. Your average well Bourbon makes a pretty good Old Fashioned.
